Kikù Hibino – signal is noise: on creating s / n
Kikù Hibino shares the conceptual background behind Signal Noise, the independent artist-run platform he co-founded. Through sound, philosophy, and visual identity, he frames noise not as chaos, but as a method of connection. This talk traces how Signal Noise emerged from the margins, shaped by curatorial practice, visual design, and a commitment to sonic experimentation.
Roc Jiménez de Cisneros – Untitled Drum Permutations
What happens when you play every possible permutation of 11 drum machine sounds? Roc’s recent project investigates over 39 million combinations using the Roland TR-909. Combining mechanical repetition with meditative pacing, it explores the relationship between excess, time, and the limits of perception. His talk reflects on structure, systems, and listening through the lens of massive scale.
